A lot of people never even heard of the country "Bhutan."
As a landlocked least-developed country, Bhutan has remained the eighth happiest nation on earth. Moreover, she is the happiest least-developed nation in the world. See World Map of Happiness for details.
If you can look into the simple-life people of Bhutan, you will discover it is their age-old tradition, i.e. Buddhism, that has hold up their entire community life. In addition, as Taiwan Business Week (see the slideshow here) indicates in their recent research, Bhutan spends most on education sector above else in comparison to other countries. To her, education is not a luxury but rather a necessity. What more? she also ranks the highest in terms of proper governance in South Asia. Why does Bhutan beat the U.S. in Gross National Happiness?
Finding a home-like place to settle imbued with life ideals seems impossible with the ever-advancing modernization. But if you can visit Bhutan and see yourself, you will surely give your true self a real work-out by seeing through a totally new perspective. The values they embrace are worth understanding and preserving before time is done. Land-locked Bhutan could be the last Buddha Pureland sustainable on earth.
Buddha Bless You...
Even by knowing and rejoicing in the presence of Buddha Dordenma Project one is bound to have received Buddha's blessings, not to mention participating or even working towards its fulfillment.
